Greetings! My name is Ross Withey and I am attempting to become a full time blogger, earning my way through life in the constantly changing world that is the blogosphere.
New Beginnings
My first journey into blogging began back in 2011 when I had been following various World of Warcraft blogs on websites such as Tumblr and Blogspot. My first attempt was making a blog on Tumblr themed around the MMO video game, Tibia. Unfortunately, this was not a success
A second attempt was made in late-2011 using the WordPress platform that I had been using for a university project, which again turned into something that I was unable to maintain interest in. The blog you're reading now, is the third attempt
My desire to create an account on Blogger with Google stemmed from wanting to write in depth reviews of various anime series and video games that I have been watching/playing respectively. Of course, you could say that it belongs on a forum, but I believe that a blog allows much more open expression. Thus, Nirethia was born. Nirethia is actually a name stemming from my frequently-used online gaming character name, Nireth. Considering a large portion of this blog is relating to events from video games, I figured the name would be appropriate for a title.
What Is Nirethia?
Nirethia is a blog dedicated to providing gamers with long-term playability reviews for the current generation of video games and unbiased reviews of anime series from all eras. The other content you will find on this blog will range from daily updates about what I have been doing relating to gaming/anime, as well as posts that explain the other activities I am currently involved in, such as custom PC system building and various other situations. But of course, if there is anything else you would like to see, just use the contact form here and let me know what it is you are interested in. I will do my best to provide a satisfactory experience, but obviously I cannot please everyone.
Where Nirethia Is Going
As my blog continues to grow in popularity, I will be able to provide more indepth content, maybe reviewing various gaming devices and peripherals. Of course, I will be able to post daily updates and reviews of games/anime series regardless of my income and popularity. After all, we all have to start somewhere. I cannot guaraentee that Nirethia will never change shape, since everything will have to evolve in time, but I can promise to try and deliver content that is interesting, thought-provoking and an enjoyable read.
